Stalwarts of the acid jazz and funk revival of the early naughties, The Genuine Article played hundreds of gigs in the burgeoning inner city Melbourne bar scene. They became known for their performative and accessible style with foot to the floor funk, dance floor filling disco and face melting improvisation.
After a ten year hiatus, band members Tim Burnham (drums), Karl Willebrant (bass), Julian Waters-Lynch (keys) and Ryan Griffith (guitar) bring their cumulative experience and extensive journeys in music to a newly reformed group ready to funk up a venue near you.
